Good text but a little liberal for my tastes.,

This review is from: American Government and Politics Today, Alternate 2005-2006 Edition (with PoliPrep) (Paperback)
The reviews I read stated the text was "unbiased," "fair" and "balanced." It is foolish to think any book could be unbiased - every writer puts his or her own spin on their writing based on their own beliefs, view points, assumptions, etc. Those with a conservative mindset will probably want to look elsewhere for your main government text. Take a look at the "Look Inside" of one of the newer versions of the book to get a better idea of the contents. That being said, from what I see the book is well organized and well written. I plan to use portions of it to encourage discussion in my American Government class.
