I had to purchase this book for school, but it's easy to read and doesn't seem to have any bias they way some textbooks do on topics such as government. The chapters are interesting and the authors give many viewpoints, not just one.

Considering the cost of this text book (over $100 new), I was expecting to find extraordinary writing and insight. Instead, what I found was the same, mundane, senior-high-school-simplistic ordered writing as found in the American Pageant series.

This book, as so many history books do, offers some information, and offers only tidbits of knowledge. There's not enough details in any section to provide synthesis unless the reader has previously read numerous other books on American history, political science, etc.

This book is an alternate version...so it doesn't have everything that your professor will go over...other than its in good condition

Got the book in a very timely manner. Book had some highlighting in it but I knew that was a possibility as it was used. Would order with this company again.

This was the first time I ever bought a book online. I was taking a summer Poli Sci class and the book was very expensive in the college book store. I found the book on Amazon for an insanely cheap price. I bought it and got it within a few days. It was very easy. I was also very happy that I got it so quickly. Since I was taking a summer class everyday that past was important, but I didn't have to worry. I got it immediately. Thanks for the book! I got an "A" is the class by the way!

The American Government and Politics today book was in perfect condition.
It was brand new. I was really shocked because it was in the good section. But everytime I buy something from Amazon they ship everything on time and it arrives earlier than expected. I have no problems with them and you shouldn't either. Thank you Amazon.
