This show has it all - it's funny, dramatic, great characters. It's The Sopranos meets The Kardashians meets a really good documentary.

I was very interested to see this program because I have dealt with gypsy people professionally many times and was curious because they are a very closed culture/group. So I was quite surprised to see that it is very representative of how they live. And I was even more surprised that they would allow themselves to become the focus of a TV series. But I don't know of any way of life that is hidden in society anymore. I do think the women were a little more 'dolled' up than usual, because I believe they have to wear their hair pulled back in a ponytail to make their marital status known among themselves. They have always been a very insulated group.

This show was so boring, and incredibly scripted. I must say did give me an interesting perspective into gypsy like that I have not seen on TV before. But I just could not get into it.

I really enjoyed this series. It is a bit over the top, but most reality shows are designed this way. I had never heard of the Romani culture and this show served as a great overview. I realize that this is only one family among hundreds nationwide and that it isn't representative of ALL Romani but again it was a good introduction. I would love to see a follow-up of this season so that we can witness how the family moves forward with "new" leadership.
