3.0 out of 5 stars Good history plays, March 26, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: 10 American History Plays for the Classroom (Grades 4-8) (Paperback)
This book is a nice collection of plays from American history, starting with the explorers going through to 1900s. It is best suited for grades 4-6, but I have successfully used these plays with 7th grade.

4.0 out of 5 stars At least 10 characters in most plays upper elementary/middle, September 8, 2008

10 plays include: Spanish Exploration, Pilgram's Arrival, Boston Tea Party, Trail of Tears, Oregon Trail, Women's Rights- Ain't I a Woman, Emancipation Proclaimation, Immigration, Pearl Harbor, Civil Rights.
There are extention activities and books that teacher/students can explore if they enjoyed the plays. Great for middle school or intermediate elementary.

This is an extremely helpful book. The American History plays are perfect for middle school students, and can be used as part of a unit. I'd recommend this to use for both in-classroom plays and those for the entire school to view.
