5.0 out of 5 stars Readable, fact-filled, must-have book.
For the past 22 years, author Ellen Woods has been fascinated with American Indian artifacts, and luckily for us, she has shared her knowledge in this outstanding book. Subtitled "How to Identify, Evaluate and Care for Your Collection," this readable reference describes in detail the history, techniques, and types of baskets, pottery, beadwork, wood/hide,...

I was so disappointed and dismayed that I paid shipping in two directions for this book based on the previous review. There are practically no photos in this book whatsoever, it is completely useless as an indentification tool.

Subtitled "How to Identify, Evaluate and Care for Your Collection," this readable reference describes in detail the history, techniques, and types of baskets, pottery, beadwork, wood/hide, jewelry, and stone/bone used by American Indians. And, Ms. Woods includes information for those interested in pursuing their studies through museums, state parks, periodicals, videos, shows and promoters, and other reading material. Within these 220 pages are gems for all levels of collectors. A must-have book
