Book Description

December 1, 2000
American Indian Ghost Stories of the Southwest is the first book of American Indian ghost stories told by American Indians and written by an American Indian.

These stories are not second-hand accounts, but told to the author by present-day American Indians who have directly witnessed helpful spirits and horrific hauntings throughout the states of Arizona and New Mexico.

American Indian Ghost Stories of the Southwest will take the reader on a journey of exploration into the remote deserts of fear, the canyons of mystery, the battlefields of opposing forces--and ultimarely into a vast, spiritual, sometimes eerie, world of shadows and light.

Put aside disbelief, inhale deeply the scent of the desert mountain sage, lay restfully upon a finely woven Navajo blanket, and listen. Listen to the stories of those who will tell of a world of dreams made real--the world of American Indian Ghost Stories!

5.0 out of 5 stars Gripping stories full of vibrant personal accounts!, January 16, 2007
This review is from: American Indian Ghost Stories of the Southwest (Paperback)
As the author of this and other books on the subject of ghosts of the southwest, I wish to set forth the fact, that my books are not at all apppropriate for very young children. Indeed they are a collection of never before printed stories, of actual interviews I personally conducted, with individuals who have had one on one encounters with ghosts. These are not stories that have been handed down from one generation to another. These facinating stories are drawn from native people who have sat before me, and with only a tape recorder and camera, I've recorded an astonishing collection of personal accounts of their paranormal experiences. Included among these persons are american indians from both Arizona reservations and New Mexico pueblos. These individuals be they teachers, sheriffs, medical staff, state administrators, are essentially ordnary folk, who have encountered extraordinary experiences. The stories being authentic and detailed, will take the reader on an eye-opening journey. I know this book will engage readers to seek out my other books on similar topics. Make no mistake, this book is definitely, DEFINITELY like no other!

I really expected so much more. Most of this book is just stray thoughts thrown out there. Not really ghost stories at all. I won't read another book from this author.
