I bought this product originally for the kitchen but found it equally useful to help our kids stay focused on various tasks. The size is just right and the layout is simple. It is also nicer looking than other timers I examined. I would definitely recommend it.

This is what my mother told me after I bought her this gift for Christmas. She uses it all of the time, as she is very forgetful when leaving the water on, or putting something in the oven and then going into the other room to play on the computer. It's easy to use and very reliable!

I bought this timer about a year and a half ago for use in a commercial kitchen. It has held up to numerous abuses and still looks nice. I love that the display is readable, the buttons are fairly large and simple, and that it has a clip, magnet, and lanyard. I have used all three and it's pretty nifty.

I wish, however, that it was louder. Several times I have had it in my front shirt pocket and not hear it beeping. I would also like for a faster way to reach the time that I want to use, but it's a trade-off between speed and having less buttons. I think I prefer it the way it is. Low volume aside, it's a good timer.

Pros: attractive, with strong refrigerator magnet
Cons: simply cannot remember how to set the timer. Hardly beeps at all. You must be in the same room to hear it.

Pros: nice features, well thought out design

Cons:
It lasted about 4 months... long enough to get out of warranty. It would count down fine, but when it got to zero it would reset instead of alarming. A new battery did not fix this.

Other reviewers complain about the difficulty of accessing the battery (true) and the non-intuitive button use (also true and frustrating until I get the right combo), but this little gadget has saved many batches of brownies (or other things in the oven) and my tea-kettle countless times. I work at home and my home office is on a different level of the house than my kitchen. I get easily distracted. When that little timer hanging from my neck starts beeping, it wakes me from my computer-driven stupor and I can run back to the kitchen to take care of what ever is happening there.

This timer solves the problem of not hearing the timer because you have moved elsewhere in the home. You set the timer and hang it around your neck on the lanyard. There is also a base so you can leave it on the counter as a clock. We bought one for ourselves and another as a gift. Excellent value. The description on the web was adequate. The only challenge in initial use is threading the lanyard through the small loop.

It's a small timer that is perfect for time out for our little boy. It has a clip, a stand, and a lanyard so you can use it anywhere.

The features do not work all the time. Some times I am able to access the clock and at others the timer but I could never get either to work when I wanted it to.

Pro's:
1. nice design
2. useful base
3. solid quality timer
4. very compact

Con's:
1. clip is not spring loaded, so it seems prone to break off from regular usage
2. buttons are not firm; makes setting timer & other functions somewhat difficult

Conclusion:
Its a very attractive timer for the modest user, but not for someone who intends to use it regularly especially if regular belt-clip usage is desired. Excluding the soft quality plastic button & fixed clip, the rest of the timer is of high quality.
