The "American Kitchen Stainless Steel 6 Piece Bakeware Set" is a quality product. I doubt that anyone would be disappointed. Additionally, the set is made in the USA, which only adds to my overall satisfaction. You can tell that they are made in the USA, by the QUALITY of the workmanship, which is more-often-than-not lacking in products manufactured in that country that makes almost everything else sold here in America. Thank-you Amazon.com for carrying an American made item! You should have a special section of your web site dedicated just to American made products. Other consumers like me look for and want to by American made products, even if they may cost a little bit more, because usually the quality of the product is significantly better than products manufactured in that country which makes so much of the stuff sold here in the USA. Now, my question is, where are the matching "American Kitchen" bread pans to go with this set?

I got really frustrated with the results I continued to get with many of my nonstick bakeware pieces - burnt/overcooked bottoms on cookies and cakes, items cooking too quickly on the edges yet not completely cooked on the inside, as well as some of the nonstick peeling off and many pieces completely warping after a few uses. I was also annoyed with always having to adjust the oven temperature down about 25 degrees as well as needing to adjust cook times because the darker coating on the nonstick makes everything cook much faster.

I started researching alternatives to nonstick and stumbled upon "industrial" cookware/stainless steel and its benefits as well as its durability. I am glad this product was available (and affordable) as it allowed me the opportunity to try out a few different pieces without breaking the bank. Perfect cookies on the first shot! Beautiful golden brown edges and perfectly cooked insides on cakes and pies! How did I ever bake anything before this?! The stainless is very easy to clean and I am finding that I don't have to spray butter or oil on the surface to release my baked goods. Everything slides off easily! I am now slowly swapping out all my bakeware for stainless!

People be careful ! I bought this product looking for a great though pretty expensive backing set.
The cake pans and pie pans are from real 18/10 cooking Stainless Steel.
The Cookie Sheets are NOT !!!!!
At first I did not know that and trusted the company. However the first time I used them in the oven they reacted with my cookies that became black on the bottom and the oil that I used (regular sunflower purified oil) became a strong coating !! I tried washing it with Palmolive liquid soap and the metal started giving black color!! Also even though I used regular kitchen sponge sheets got SCRATCHED all over the surface !!!
So I realized that something is wrong.
As anyone who knows basics about stainless still I know that the easiest way to check the stainless still it to try it with the magnet. If it magnetizes to the magnet it is cr@p and if it is not so it is most likely a good stainless still.
Test results were as expected - cake and pie pens did NOT magnetized but the Cookie Sheets I could hardly separate from my pretty strong magnet !!!
BE AWARE THE COOKING SHEETS ARE NOT FROM 18/10 STAINLESS STILL !!!
ALSO NON OF THEM (pans or sheets) MARKED 18/10 on the back !!!
I WILL FIGHT WITH THE COMPANY FOR REFUND AND COMPENSATION !!!

The pans work well and have cooked as expected, but the cookie sheets I have had some trouble with. Maybe it's me, but I have had the cookie sheets burn easily and I can't seem to get the burnt stain off of one of them. Also, the sheets are very thin, and when they cook, the make a popping sound because they warp as they cook. It's like part of the pan pops up off the rack and is slanted while half of it stays on the rack, basically making it a little crooked. I usually cook in the 350 range, and it does it even when I cook in the 200 degree range. Overall I am happy, and the food quality is fine, but I I feel they should cost less for the cookie sheet quality.

Made a batch of cookies as soon as we get this set. They baked perfectly! I was especially happy to find they were extremely easy to clean, even better than the toxic non-stick cookie sheets! The cake pans are a little tricky when taking the cake out of them, but I'm getting a hang of little tricks that help. Even cooking and they heat/cool quickly. I couldn't be happier. Much healthier choice for our home.

I like using good American made products (finished in the US at least). I also like Regal Ware products. These bakeware pans are heavy and well made. The cake pans stack inside each other and have a folded down lip to help keep the pan round. The pie pans have a heavy rolled lip for handling. The outsides of the pans are brightly polished and the insides are brushed finished. The cookie sheets are brushed finished. The cookie sheets can have a slightly sharp edge to them. It seems they don't sand it after punching and forming the sheets. I took down the edge with a sharpening stone (400 grit wet or dry will work also).

You may notice an uniformed opinion about the quality of the steel. It appears to me the pans are an ASTM 300 series stainless (low magnetic properties). I can get a neodymium magnet to stick to the edge of the cake pans and to the cookie sheets. The cookie sheet appear to be an ASTM 400 series stainless (high magnetic properties). Both are still considered stainless steel and can be 18/10 stainless. I do not have access to the expensive equipment required to determine the composition of the steel so I will rely on the manufacture's claim of 18/10 stainless.

Overall, I would recommend these products to a friend.

This is the same product that was on Costco.com. There I would had to have paid for shipping. The price is comparable. When the product arrived, it was well packed and protected. I was elated at the durable quality of the stainless steel. It is substantial, not flimsy and cheap. This is a set that will last me for a lifetime. Every piece was wonderful quality and in perfect shape. Normally Costco.com can't be beat on price. But this has done it. Similar price and no shipping. It beat Costco.com. I am extremely happy with my purchase.
