Over all I enjoyed the book.
Susan P.
Did not give much details of any of her life that was not already public knowledge and much shorter than I had thought.

Just loved every minute of this book.

I was disappointed that this book is a superficial glance at the movies of Shirley Temple but was horrified by the inaccuracies and typos! Fox shaved a year off her age not her mother, Heidi was Swiss not Swedish, David O Selznick made Since You Went Away along with four other Temple movies. I don't think this book had an editor because one paragraph reads that Temple divorced Charles instead of John! This book is a tremendous waste of money.

Too clinical about situations
No funny anecdotes
Mostly about movie system not Shirley Temple's life which not what I wanted

If you want to learn something about Shirley Temple, then this is it. She came from a privileged background while many other Hollywood types came from destitute situations. Seems like she always had her head on straight.

This is a short read compiled or just grabbed from other books. It is filled with incorrect facts and many incorrect dates throughout. They even put the wrong husband's name in one part! Reads more like a tabloid than a biography. You must Read Shirley Temple's OWN biography to get the facts and Her own is a good read.

Interesting read. Watched dozens of Shirley Temple movies on tv when I was a kid. I always looked forward to watching spunky Shirley. Lovely to read about a child star who grew up into such a successful adult.

If you are looking for a book about Shirley and the movies she did and starred in, this is a great read. This is not an autobiography nor is it a long book. I have read some of the reviews by others and how they were disappointed by this book not being an auto biography & that it was too short of a read. Well, if those people would have read about what the book was about before they bought it, then they would have known! One person complained that the book they received was used & written in & that they wanted to return it. Don't blame the book! It's not the book's fault! Apparently there are a couple/few inaccuracies but overall the book is a great read.

This was a wonderful story of her life, and all her movies, when she was so young. And all the movies are still classics today...
