Inspiring to any lover of maritime history,

Very concise and mentions the Collossus of Rhodes and the Pharos of Alexandria as the first known lighthouse wonders to grace a dangerous port. It has great historical significance and covers many geographical areas in North America. I would recommend it as a great coffee table adornment.

Jill Caravan's book has some of the best photographs I have seen of lighthouses from all across the United States. It is a large coffee table book, which adds to the effect of the photos. What it does not have is much in the way of either information or history about the lights. Still, its a good book for lighthouse lovers.

My brother bought me this book for Xmas. It's a good book to look at and does have some paragraphs of info. This book is not for finding lighthouses. I like to call this a coffee table type book. Its a nice book to have laying around for someone to look at. There are some very nice pictures.

I bought this book for a gift for a lighthouse lover. I'm "into" photography and the photos are very nice. They aren't just your typical "here it is" type photo. One that really sticks out is a photo of the spiral staircase in one of the lighthouses. I gave it 4 stars because it didn't really fit for me, but I bought it for a gift and I'm sure she'll love it.

This book has some very lovely photos of lighthouses in it. It's a cofee table style book, and it's well worth getting for anyone who loves lighthouses. |
