I'm not one to write reviews but I thought I'd do so on this particular product. I purchased it specifically because we did not want the look/feel of LED barlights under our kitchen cabinets, but instead wanted a spaced-out, hard-switched & dimmable light to "waterfall" off of our backsplash in order to create nice depth and texture in our kitchen. We likewise did not want to deal with the future hassles of a 12v transformer of a traditional puck light assembly. Hence our choice of this product.
First off, if you handled puck lights before, these are of no different quality. They feel like they cost $2ea to build in China... but we get what we pay for. I will not complain about that. It seems to be the norm these days, just to keep things affordable. What I am unhappy about is the description that it can be hardwired. The reality is that these are no different than 12v puck lights in that once you wire in the transformer, you must daisy-chain them together using the (very inadequately) supplied extensions and lights, which then connect together with a plug/click connector. That means that you cannot use hard-wired 120v romex between puck lights. You must use the supplied 12in (or purchase 24") cables with the adapters attached. If you are divided by open space between cabinets, as I am by a window, there is no way to make that happen using these pucks. I called Customer Service as soon as I realized the dilemna, and the rep said that the only way they could get UL approval is to build them this way. Otherwise they would've had to build a much more resistant and durable product (I'm adding this last part).

Anyway, I'm looking into hard-wiring these anyway, despite their arguments against doing so.

Just beware that these lights can get very hot if left on for more than 30 min. Might want to consider the lower voltage option for under your wood cabinets.
