4.0 out of 5 stars Electronica Zombie
The gathering of three Industrial Rock powerhouses - Rob Zombie, Rammstein & Charlie Clouser (from NIN fame) - might produce what? More Industrial Rock?

No. Actually, british techno/electronica stylings are written all over these tracks. For example:

Track #1 (Dragula) is Big Beat meats Rob Zombie; sort of a heavier version of the Prodigy...

3.0 out of 5 stars More strippers and 50's art please.
aside from a few gem's you can download better music for free. I first got introduced to white zombie through the first remix album, and I had high hopes for this one, however most of the remixes are either generic techno or the same song just paced to a beat. Although it's a nice alternative from the first album, it's not something that you'll be listening to in a...

4.0 out of 5 stars Electronica Zombie, May 5, 2006

The gathering of three Industrial Rock powerhouses - Rob Zombie, Rammstein & Charlie Clouser (from NIN fame) - might produce what? More Industrial Rock?

No. Actually, british techno/electronica stylings are written all over these tracks. For example:

Track #1 (Dragula) is Big Beat meats Rob Zombie; sort of a heavier version of the Prodigy ("Firestarter" comes to mind). A slightly modified version of this track appeared on the "Matrix" soundtrack.

Track #3 (How to Make a Monster) is Big Beat again; this time around, it has a more hip-hopish, Chemical Brothers feel to it.

Track #7 (The Ballad of Ressurrection Joe) sounds like trip-hop to me ears.

Track #8 (What Lurks on Channel X?) has shades of the Prodigy's "Smack my Bitch Up", starting when the verse kicks in.

Track #11 (Superbeast, mix #2) is an interesting drum n' bass version of this song. Actually, I prefer it than the original version. No wonder that's the version used on the "Superbeast" video.

4.0 out of 5 stars A very interesting remix album!, October 26, 1999
By A Customer
This album contains remixes of the songs on Hellbilly Deluxe. It came wtih a nice soft case, well decorated with Rob's art, as well as photos from live performances. I liked most of the remixes, although I liked the "Hot Rod Herman" remix of "Dragula" from the Matrix soundtrack than the one included on this album. Although the original album already had a techno sound to it, "American Made Music to Strip By" has its own original sound. This is an album every Zombie fan should have.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awsome Cd but not necessarily heavy, September 28, 2000
By
Brad (california) - See all my reviews
This Cd rocks. It is an awsome mix of techno and metal. It definately is not as heavy as Hellbilly Deluxe. They are on the same level though. Only 1 or 2 songs lack the charm of the original. Dragula, How to make a Monster, Both Superbeasts, spookshow baby & living dead girl are as good as the originals or better. The Dragula re-mix definately takes the cake as the most well done re-mix on the cd. If you liked the heavy creepy feeling of the original don't get it, but if you like metal-techno this is the cd to get.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best remix album I've heard, April 18, 2006
Charlie Clouser of NIN fame along with Rammstein went to town with Rob's Hellbilly Delux, and what came out IMO is an improvment on the original albums songs, very heavy and catchy. Standout tracks are the Dragula remix (of coarse), How to Make a Monster, and the LDG remix. If you're a fan of industrial-dance music like KMFDM you'll love this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars American Music MAde TO Strip By!!!, April 21, 2005
THis cd is exactly what the name says. American Made Music to Strip By. This cd is an interesting change from the usual grind type metal of rob zombie. I do love this cd. It puts a fun twist on all of my favorite songs. I loved Hellbilly Deluxe and I love this cd. So if your out to try a new twist on your favorite songs buy this cd. You won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars let's not overlook one important fact., November 14, 1999
By A Customer
this is "American Made Music To Strip By"! it's also an illustration of how great artists steal.

12 or so artists (including DJ lethal, god lives underwater) slice and dice rob's work from Hellbilly Deluxe; rob reinvents the styles of comic-book-art geniuses of our time (crumb/big daddy roth/etc./etc.) in his amazingly appropriate and wonderful visuals which oversaturate the package. a large booklet of concert photography is also included, as well as multiple images of the most beautiful woman on earth...sheri kitty moon. worth the purchase alone.

and you can actually hear the vocal track on "how to make a monster"...

if you're looking to get naked to music, this would be a fine choice. if you're looking for original music from rob zombie...stop your bawlin' and wait with the rest of us.

4.0 out of 5 stars OK REMIXES, October 31, 1999
By A Customer
Better or worse than original song?: 1. Dragula Mix: Better. The dragging lyrics are awesome for Dragula. 2.Superbeast Mix: Better. The techno adds a wonderful beat. 3.How To Make A Monster Mix: AWESOME!!! This remix is so much better than the slow paced original version. 4.Living Dead Girl Mix: Good. The beat stays much better than the original. 5.Spookshow Baby Mix: GREAT! Rammstein is awesome for this mix. 6.Demonoid Phenomenon Mix: Worse. People like the old metal better. 7.Resurrection of... Mix: Ok. The old one is still better in ways. 8.What Lurks on Channel X Mix: Awful. One of the worst tracks. Not catchy in anyway at all. 9.Meet the Creeper Mix (1):Ok. Remix gets old quick. 10.Return of the... Mix: Worse. The old one was so much longer and better. 11.Superbeast (2) Mix: Ok. Clouser has better remixes. 12. Meet the Creeper (2) Mix: Good. It;s fun to listen to as the last track. Overall, Zombie gets four stars. I minused a star because there is no new material.

5.0 out of 5 stars Review for Rob Zombie's American Made Music to Strip By, May 14, 2007
By
I love the incredible sounds that Rob Zombie creates on this exciting CD. It is inspiring and motivating with a real human-ness that has a very modern edge. The sound waves are like reviving ocean waves that make you want to get out there and enjoy life... His ability to awaken the human senses are fabulously demonstrated through his electrifying music. I love his revolutionary style, and am very happy to experience his exhilarating music.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rob gives a deathly glorious dance-laden return, August 9, 2000
By A Customer
Rob Zombie's latest offering "American Music" is what I call a "Tri-brid" (Industrial, Dance, &Ghoul Metal)of killer tunes from none other than the master of spook-rock himself.Fans of him & White Zombie will relish ,writhe, & satiate their appetite to this monstrous set of remix tracks.Mostly from his debut album,Helbilly Deluxe, there's no need to review his latest CD,since every tune you listen to will pump you with pure, evil diesel fuel, giving you a hellacious transfusion, only pleasing you more & more as the tunes progress to the last.I can hardly wait for Rob to release another CD with even more gore tunes & keep me satisfied a good while longer!!!My support for Rob is solid,as sung in this CD,"Go,Go Zombie,Go,Go Yeah,Yeah,Yeah!!!!!
