My friends and I were so excited for their CD to come out that we got to the CD store early the first day i came out just so we could hear the whole thing.

This is a good band if you're one of those people who hate teenie-bands (Good Charlotte) but want bands that sound like them.

Upon hearing Wakefield for the first time, I thought this is it-this is the only cd I'll be listening to this summer. Fast and catchy, its high quality sugary punk pop that is meant to blasted on the radio while enjoying the hot summer days with your friends. I find this band refreshing, with light-hearted attitudes towards fame and selling out. The chorus of "Infamous" declares "We suck yea we're never gonna make it" while the first track "Sold Out" proclaims "We're in it for the money, all the groupie hunnies." I love the dripping with sarcasm-honesty that makes this band so fun to listen to. They don't put on fronts like other bands do..they're not trying to be something they're not. This CD's purpose isn't to change your life, or to provide deep thoughts for lonely nights alone...if you want that buy another CD . Some say poppunk is overdone, bland, whatever....but Wakefield brings a little something different..maybe its their energy, I can't quite put my finger on it. But this CD is definitely worth your time and money...its 100 percent fun for summertime.

While on vacation in Florida I was browsing around a record store and just happened to look up at the new releases sign in the store and the name Wakefield caught my eye. Only a few days earlier I had been to an All-American Rejects show at home in Atlanta where Wakefield was one of the supporting bands. I thought back on their set, I didn't watch the set, however I could still remember the first song they opened with, their debut single "Say You Will" (track #3) and how impressed I was on their vocal abilities and how well they harmonized, so I decided to pick up a copy of the album. The first time I listened to the album I fell in love with it, I felt like I had to call all of my friends and tell them about Wakefield, a hot new band that was certainly going to go somewhere. For the entire ride home from Orlando to Atlanta, I listened to American Made, and I am still not tired of it, and that says a lot. My friends and I love putting on the album and jamming to songs like "Sold Out" and we have found ourselves saying "That's wicked" one too many times. Wakefield is filled with pure talent running through the veins of all of the young members. Opening with catchy tunes such as "Sold Out", "Unsweet Sixteen", and "Say You Will" then moving onto a slower ballad "Heaven's Coming", American Made has the perfect mix of the upbeat tunes and slower moving "ballads". Wakefield's American Made is a must have for that perfect summer day when you and your friends go cruising around town with the windows down and the system up...

It is true that this band may sound like a lot of other punk bands out there, but their creative and thought worthy lyrics make up for that big time. I don't think this band deserves to be critisized just for a cd, you need to see them in concert to get the full effect, then if you don't like them, say whatever you want to say. Comparing themselves to other bands doesn't mean they think they are as good as them, and even the last track they have many doubts when they say "we suck, yea we're never gonna make it". So, I think this is a very good cd and anyone who wants some upbeat music with good lyrics, listen to it or buy it!Thanks

The first thing I noticed when listening to this cd was that the band had very little talent compared to the bands they were trying to be like, such as Good Charlotte and New Found Glory, and their lyrics wern't nearly as creative. On the other hand, this album was very enjoyable because it had no substance and was not at all serious. Songs like Infamous are Soldout are very funny, the band admits how bad they are. If your looking for life changing cd, this isn't it. If you're looking for a cd thats lite and fun to listen to, I sugest you pick this one up.

When I listened to American Made I honestly couldn't tell any difference between Wakefield and bands like Mest and Simple Plan. They all sound the same and their songs aren't good. This has very immature lyrics to the songs, which are also way overproduced. They do have a few catchy parts here and there, which is why I gave 2 stars, but in general all the songs aren't memorable at all. Wakefield seem to be just another band trying to make it big following the current pop-punk trend. There is nothing here to make this disc worth your money or time.

I agree with some people, their music isn't as deep and meaningful/ different sounding as say, TBS or Dashboard Confessional, but still...come on! The music is so fun! Most of it is lively and fast-paced. Unlike some bands which are all "poor me" and such. I'd recommend it to anybody though just because it's fun music to sing along with and cheer you up. So go ahead and buy this cd, it's a good buy!

Wakefield is the best band ever. I started liking them when Aaron left Good Charlotte to join them, and now they rock! This is a good band if you're one of those people who hate teenie-bands (Good Charlotte) but want bands that sound like them. This is a VERY good investment. Quite possibly the best pop-punk cd ever made!
