I bought the 15" American Metalcraft pizza screen. I've had two opportunities to use it and am fairly disappointed with the results each time. I am someone who likes to experiment in my pizza baking so the two times I used this screen, I did something different each time.
In spite of my best efforts to be sure the pizza wouldn't stick to the screen, it stuck anyway. And not only did it stick, it stuck right in the dead center of the screen where its the hardest to reach with anything but a very long spatula, knife, or metal pizza peel. In good conscience not only can I not recommend these screens, I might go so far as to tell people to avoid using them. As a general rule I tend use a pizza stone and it looks like I'll be going back to that. I get far better results with the stone than I do with this glorified fly swatter they call a pizza screen. I'm sorry, I was really hoping these screens would produce good results, but I am just seriously disappointed in what I got. |
