Historically Inaccurate,

As is typical of this sort of book, there are numerous historical inaccuracies in the text. Although the book contains a reasonable bibliography, these sources were apparently not used in creating the text of the book. Unfortunately, many persons will purchase this book and assume that it is factual and get a distorted view of the American Civil War in the Indian Territory and of the Indian participants in the war.
I should mention that the art work is excellent and presents a reasonable representation based on limited sources and scant photos from the period. |
