35 yrs. ago I had the pleasure of opening Stonewall's show up as a member of a back up band. I have been hunting for this CD/Tape for years as I have lost the one I had. It was great to find out that ALL the oldies are available thru you. The best country song ever sung is "Don't be Angry". I sang it at my own wedding 22 yrs. ago!

Stonewall and Amazon both number 1,

Stonewall Jackson (who is still preforming) sings some of best country music ever and my three personal favorites on this cassette are: "Life to Go, A Wound Time Can't erase and Leona". I would like to find a double CD or a collection with all of his music as I purchased a vinyl many years ago of "Stonewall Jackson Greatest Hits" which had the song "Showboat" on it with some others missing from this cassette. Again, 5 stars to both Stonewall and Amazon on this one!

I rememeber listening to many of the songs on this CD from the original Columbia 45s that my Mom & Dad had when I was little. Getting to hear "Smoke Along The Track," and "Mary Don't You Weep For Me," and Stonewall's Country Chart hit version of "Me & You & A Dog Named Boo" again brought back special memories.

Not great at all,

I ordered this cd and what a disapointment. Having been a Stonewall Jackson for a long time, I could not believe thechange of voice. His voice at it's best was when he recorded "Wild, wild wind" and "A wound time can't erase". No one could even come close to this. "Thirty links of chain" one of my favourites to this day is of immense quality. Too bad I don't have it on cd. I have seen him on stage just once in my life and enjoyed his performance. |
