It seems to be a trend that in the UK, maxi CD singles are released in "parts", as in the case with Geri Halliwell, and with Madonna's "Drowned World". Well, for "American Pie", UK has release THREE maxi-singles. All three contains the album version. CD 1 has two vocal dub mixes by Victor Calderone. THIS CD has Richard "Humpty" Vission Radio mix, and another version called Richard "Humpty" Vission Visits Madonna, which is another dub mix.

Overall, the music is good, nothing to crow about. But ultimately, you shouldn't bother getting CD 2 at all because CD 3 also has these two tracks, as well as two new Victor Calderone remixes with Madonna's full vocals.

Talk about capitalism! I've heard that Madonna was the Material Girl but this is ridiculous. So if you want all the American Pie remixes, get CD1 and CD3. Skip CD2. Unless you want all three as a collector's item set so you can sell them in the future for a lot of money.

Loved this cd single.
I bought another( part 2) and hated it, so gave it away.
This one was the best of the lot.
The Richard Humpy Vission Radio Mix is brilliant, and when I listen to this song, I only listen to this version.
It is great, and Madonna fans will love it.
Good buy.

I don't understand why many Madonna fans don't like this song or the Humpty remixes. First off, the humpty mixes are WAY better than the Calderone mixes. The Humpty Radio mixes adds more of a dance beat to the song, while the Humpty visits Madonna mix is a kind of dub mix with very minimal vocals. All of Calderone's mixes sound the same and they [stink]!
