5.0 out of 5 stars The book every psychiatrist (and medical practitioner) should read., April 22, 2008
This review is from: The American Psychiatric Publishing Textbook of Forensic Psychiatry (Hardcover)
I found this book as an excellent resource. It is not for just forensic psychiatrists but for all psychiatrists in particular and will be helpful to any medical practitioner. It is well-written with clinical vignettes to make the points crystal clear. Easy read and very helpful in saving the day for the pschiatrists who testify in court as expert witness. But that is only one of numerous ways this book may help the psychiatrists.
I will rate it as five stars ***** without hesitation.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not enough for the forensic boards recert, May 9, 2009

This review is from: The American Psychiatric Publishing Textbook of Forensic Psychiatry (Hardcover)
The book is okay, but doesn't really cover all the topics needed for the forensic boards recert exam, for which I thought it was written. The various contributors are all the Titans of forensic psychiatry, and all have something useful to say, but the book disappoints as it falls short of its intended purpose.
