This review is from: The American Psychiatric Publishing Textbook of Schizophrenia (Hardcover)
The book is not as densely layered with information as one might expect. It approximates the Kaplan and Saddock style. There are only a few illustrations and tables, and chapters that require graphs etc are even printed on a different kind of paper.
The depth of information contained could and should be more extensive; the book is definitely not a reference book in my library. It does not approach the exhaustiveness and comprehensiveness of the Hirsch/Weinberger Schizophrenia textbook when it comes to reviewing scientific data (even though it is almost 10 years newer) nor does it render itself all too useful when looking for up-to-date treatment information. |
