5.0 out of 5 stars Works wonders
My 2 1/2 year old loves this polar bear cold pack, and therefore so do I. We keep it in the freezer, and it stays cold but not hard. It is great that it has a soft washable terrycloth cover. When my son has an "ouch" he asks for his "ice" and feels better immediately. Yes, it is usually the placebo effect, but it works and that what counts.

3.0 out of 5 stars Will work, but won't buy again.
Pros:
It will get the job done.

Cons:
Cover smells like chemicals - I'll wash it before using it on my children and hope the smell goes away.
Made in China (No mention of this in the listing. I guess I was hoping an American Red Cross item would be made in America)
Picture is not of a polar bear, but a seal. Not a big deal to me at...

1.0 out of 5 stars I purchased 2 of these for my three-year old... both are Seals, not BEARS, December 16, 2011

While they will work for it's intended purpose, you must understand as a supplier of a product for very young children (should you even care to read this) that when we as parents purchase a "replacement Medi-Bear" with a picture showing bold and brazen on your product, is that of a B-E-A-R!

I DO NOT expect to get a seal on the product. As an adult, this is not a big deal, but a three year old crying with a "boo-boo", wants his Medi-BEAR and his Mommy for consolation (as is the norm), not a darn seal-- at that moment, to him, it is an ENORMOUS DEAL!

I am so upset that I was sent the wrong product on not one, but BOTH of my items. The photo is of a bear, but apparently ALL of your products are a seals. Just change the photo so people know, and I for one wouldn't have disappointed my young child!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Cold Pack, October 18, 2011

This is a great cold pack to have around if you have little kids. The pack stays cold a good length of time. The cover is excellent for little kids who will especially like the polar bear design.

These cold packs have affectionately been called "boo-boo bears" in my house. They are small and covered with a terry envelope type terry cloth...perfect for little ones. The cloth is removable and washable. The cute bear provides comfort to my children even for the tiniest boo boo. =)
