From the Manufacturer
Deluxe Fire Truck was inspired by the famous and highly collectable "sad face" pedal Fire Truck of the 1940's. It is true in all details. No tailgate, but a rear step just like the originals. The deluxe fire truck comes in a deep red highlighted with white graphics. Real high quality wooden ladders grace the rear resting on their own chrome plated, high hoop, grab bars. Speaking of chrome, this vehicle has lots of it, the windshield, steering wheel, ringing bell, and the hubcaps are all chromed. This deluxe model enjoys a flashing red light on it's hood, which also has a chrome base. For those of us who begged our parents in vain for this vehicle or for those who lost the one they had, now our own junior firefighters can now live the dream. Ages 2 to 6 years and adult supervision required.
Product Description
The famous "sad face" pedal cars of the late 1940's and early 1950's inspired our pedal sedan. It was nick-named "sad face" because of it's front end, similar to a 1949 Oldsmobile, a 1949 Packard or a 1949 Buick, looks like an up-side-down smile. Our vehicle is trimmed with a chrome windshield, chrome steering wheel, chrome hubcaps and a chrome hood ornament. As with all of our vehicles, it is made out of heavy gauge steel just like the original pedal cars of the forties. We make the sedan in various colors.
