5.0 out of 5 stars what a volume of work!, February 18, 1999
By A Customer
I can't believe the amount of work that must have gone into putting this book together! As useful as it is entertaining...

5.0 out of 5 stars Reference and Outstanding Travel Guide, August 13, 2010
This review is from: American Revolutionary War Sites, Memorials, Museums and Library Collections: A State-by-State Guidebook to Places Open to the Public (Paperback)
Doug Gelbert has written a "must have/must use" comprehensive guide to the historic sites of the American Revolution in North America. We have used this book to plan and execute two Revolutionary War road trips and will use it for our next trip to the southern battlefields of the American Revolution. Serious students of American history will always be in Mr. Gelbert's debt for the amount of information he has crammed into this book. When combined with good maps (and GPS) and access to the internet to check on site availability (effect of state budget crises), this book is an amazing resource.
