the Great Afghan book
If you knit then this has a lot of patterns for you to enjoy. I crochet and there are some to enjoy.

160 page hardcover book, THE GREAT AFGHAN BOOK presented by the American School of Needlework, no date. A treasury of over 70 designs to crochet, knit, afghan stitch, broomstick lace or hairpin lace. Afghans for babies, kids, adults, some tailored, some feminine, several feature cross stitch. It even includes 10 designs that are called "Easiest Afghans" that would be great for beginners. Several of the designs are adapted from old quilting patterns such as Log Cabin or Ship of Dreams. Patterns included for Ship of Dreams, Grandpa's Farm, Bedtime Tales, Snowbaby, Geranium, PuffPetal, Magic Castle, Sweet Violets, Sweet Dreams, Sunrise and lots more. Some neat ideas if you seem to be making the same old afghans. ENJOY!

This is the afghan book that you will keep.Someday, when you decide to 'downsizee' your craft stash, this book IS the keeper. Sell your other books at a yardsale. This book has a great variety of crochet and some knit patterns. Instructions include large clear diagrams. Oh, never loan this book out: its long out of print, and that's why I had to buy a replacement copy thru Amazon.com!
