My son has a learning disability and this sort of toy/aide is very helpful. He has serious issues with focusing and he enjoys watching the slow green go pass from one side to the other. It is amusing as well as helpful. The shipping was a killer (appx same as the product) but it did come right away and it was worth it.

I have one of these on my desk in my classroom and it is great for kids who are getting a little anxious. They can sit and watch it for a few minutes and are ready to rejoin the group. It is sort of like a lava lamp. It can also be used for describing activities...

I don't know why the picture on the website shows this as a red product. It's actually green goo in a clear tube. It's a fun desk toy!

Kids of all ages gather around and witness the spectacle of the ages that will woo mankind till its demise in the year two thousand. Watch as the goo magically no no phenomenally against all odds makes it to the bottom as it struggles to get away its top captor to its bottom freedom. Flip it and the agony of the goo starts all over again. Is it magic or the laws of physics or maybe this is a case for Mulder and Scully. Its just impossible to explain and if you tried your head will explode. The universe can only wonder at it. Anyways my six year old daughter is Autistic and I was looking for something that would ease her off of playing video games as a reward but even when I first got this thing out of the box it was a big hit. It isn't anything at all fancy and it does exactly what I need it to. The goo simply goes through the hole in the middle from the top chamber to the bottom which takes about or around ten or so minutes. Sometimes I find it will be longer while other times faster but thats probably my error. It went from being a replacement to now being a reward since she loves it so much. She will watch the goo in its entirety go from the top to the bottom which is a perfect visual stimulation for her. She even chose it over video games which surprised me alot. I recommend it as something that will be good for any child or adult. The price is cheap so don't expect some extravagant product that will woo the masses and people from near and far will come to see. I'm happy and my daughter is happy with it.

Update

My daughter was carrying it and dropped it which sever the tubes bottom from it spilling its stick innards all over the floor and herself. She sat in it and held it like a dying friend with its insides coming out. I have never found a substance so hard to clean in my life. I could not believe how hard it was to get it off of us and soap would not work nor would scrubbing. A neighbor offered us this stuff called Go Jo or something like that and after a couple of tries it got came off our skin. The goo still was sticky in the bath tub my daughter sat in a week later even after cleaning it. The clothes she was wearing had to be trashed even after a few washings it wouldn't come off. I have no clue how one would truly go about cleaning this off a floor or carpet. Lucky for us it was a hard floor so we used lots of paper towels and got it up. I think we will wait a while to buy another but it was fun while it lasted. My daughter still asks for red goo but then she remember and says "oh red goo boo boo".

I like the product, I use to have a red one several years ago that broke and I wanted to replace it. Don't be fooled by the red picture though, you will get whatever color is picked up. I got a green one, the last color I would want.

Ours is blue. Kids love this, but there's really only so much it can do.

I like having stuff around my house that people can pick up and play with. They know they will be severly beaten for fooling with my musical instruments, so this provides an outlet for itchy fingers. It is basically a non-electric lava lamp, that you turn over like a sand filled hour glass. I was lucky (you get no choice of color) I received one with a deep raspberry (my favorite) colored goo. They make a smaller version, but this one catches the light nicely.

My mother has one of these from many years ago and everyone always loves turning it over and watching it move. I was excited to find and purchase one for myself. This is a great size and great value at $12.00.

This is a great visual timer for kids. It's large and solid. It's also fun to just watch. The goo moves slowly and is relaxing. It's a little difficult to really determine when the goo is done decending so it's only good as a timer if you don't get hung up on the little drops that keep going at the end.

i ordered this tube after i saw one at a car dealership and remembered mine that i used to have in college that someone stole.i had a neon green one that glowed in a blacklight.this one is more of a grassy green and im not sure if it glows in a blacklight or not.overall id say it a good peice of entertainment to lay around the office or home.I gave it a four because its green and not red like the picture says even though i read the review before i bought it that told me that i think they should update the pic and color of it since their selling it to people.so they dont get someone who didnt read the reviews and actually wanted red
