Wow! What a great science demonstration. The coil sparks, transmits energy across space, lights incandescent and fluorescent bulbs at a distance (or with only one wire). Tesla's theories were obviously correct. Cheapest and most reliable kit coil on the market.

It claims 50,000 volts. Well, we tested it and the most we got is 27,000. Seller should tell that he meant peak-to-peak voltage in advance.

I was hoping that since this was a TESLA coil that it wouldn't need to be plugged into Electricity to get it to work, but it does. The spark it pretty neat to see and it's good for experiments but I would have been better off looking for something else for my needs.
