Gr. 4-7. These books in the Learning about Cats series contain identical information when it comes to feeding, litter training, and more, but each volume also presents an informative introduction to a specific breed. The books begin on rather a staid note, giving the facts about the animals--appearance, size, personality. The texts grow more interesting as they discuss the development of the breed, especially interesting in the case of the tailless manx, and the particulars of each breed. The real drawing card here is the many color photographs that show cats and kittens cavorting across the pages. The back matter is good, too, with a glossary, a bibliography, useful addresses, and Internet sites. Ilene Cooper

This review is from: The American Shorthair Cat (Learning About Cats) (Library Binding)
I was so excited waiting for this book to arrive but very disappointed when I received.
For the cost, it isn't worth it. It's only 48 pgs long. There are several really good pictures but I had expected more details other than just quick facts.
