Product Description

The Custom Printing section allows you to create various types of materials (e.g., single and double-fold cards, stationary, 2-5 page banners, labels). Once you have selected the type of material you want to make, you can import sign clipart from the dictionary, use shapes or draw freehand, add text, import other images, and of course, save, and/or print your creation. The new layering feature allows you to decide which pictures to move to the front, and which to move to the back. Each of your creations can be saved within the program, or as a bitmap, to be used in other programs. ASL Clip and Create 3 contains six templates that can be customized by using any of the vocabulary in the dictionary. Make your vocabulary selections, and get instantaneous crossword puzzles, word searches, SIGN-O cards, fingerspelling scrambles, and ABC order worksheets. An Alternate Display button allows you to retain the same vocabulary but create different worksheets. All templates can be saved within the program or as bitmap files! I want to commend the IDRT company that created the ASL Clip and Create. Although this product is somewhat outdated technologically (we own a Pentium 4 computer), we are still able to use this product on our computer. We already owned an ASL (hard copy) dictionary, but having this CD/DVD allows us to print out sentences & labels & all sorts of neat things for our signing child. In turn, this allows us to interact better with her school district -- they are even jealous of what I create. I would love to see this product updated with more ASL signs & with a faster capability, but I would still buy it "as is".

This is a good, unique product. It allows you to create custom pages of signs, crosswords, and word searches. It does many other things as well, but those are the features that I have personally used. I would recommend this product if you are in need of an easy way to print customized sign language pages. I have a PC with Windows XP as well as a Mac. It works fine on the PC, but not with a Mac. You can, however, access the sign images from a Mac, but the software itself will not work. You can also purchase this software cheaper and find out more information by going directly to IDRT. Just google IDRT and you will find them. Hope this helps.
