Book Description

September 12, 2002
American Slacker is the story of a young college man caught in a web of murder and deceit. He is a self- roclaimed ass, caring nothing for anyone but himself. Yet he is forced to fight the very forces of evil to save those he holds in such contempt. His family, his few friends, even the very elements themselves seem to have turned against him. Jim Ciscell's gripping novel of the best and worst day in one young man's life, American Slacker is a must read for anyone who looks on, forward, or back to college.

5.0 out of 5 stars Suprisingly Good, January 10, 2004
By A Customer

This was a very good read. I wasn't expecting much when I first picked the book up, but I was plesantly surprised.

Check this little humble novel out. If you like movies like Slacker, Clerks, or Fight Club, you'll dig this book. Great for slacker types of folks of all kinds!

5.0 out of 5 stars An interesting trip into weirdness, August 21, 2003

This review is from: American Slacker (Paperback)
A strange story. An only slightly super-normal narrator transported through an exaggerated world of quasi-normal events stretched to their logical extreme. Can only be described in non-sequiturs.

You will be chuffed.

5.0 out of 5 stars What I Thought of American Slacker, November 21, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: American Slacker (Paperback)
Any book that can combine incest, flaming beastiality, murder, as well as every perversion known to man and make you want to go to church at the end is worth the read. Jim Ciscell is a southern fried Bret Easton Ellis without a conscience, after reading this book, I prompty cleaned myself off, but throughly enjoyed this guilty pleasure.
