Amazing,

This review is from: American Standard 2832.128.020 Cadet-3 FloWise Elongated Two-Piece Toilet with High Efficiency, White (Tools & Home Improvement)
I'm amazed that a high efficiency toilet can be so effective. I've had two of these for about a week, so I can't really know for sure how well they'll perform long term, but they flush amazingly well.
They're fairly quiet flushers, flush almost instantly, and don't seem to have any trouble with anything I've fed them so far. They're also quite easy to install. My only possible complaint is that the seat that comes with it is not very comfortable and is just cheap plastic. I'm not docking a star, though, because I imagine that's pretty standard. The seats on my old toilets weren't any better. I'll be buying new seats soon.

Works well so far,
This review is from: American Standard 2832.128.021 Cadet-3 FloWise Elongated Two-Piece 1.28 gpf Toilet with 12-Inch Rough-In, Bone (Tools & Home Improvement)
We've had it for a couple weeks. No clogs, easy to install. We had one "less-complete" flush in that time with faint traces of suspended residue left in the bowl. Given the water we're saving, that is a non-issue for me. It seems a little louder than our 1.6 gpf Cadet 3, but overall we're very happy. We have the "bone" color. I was concerned it would be too brown, but it really just looks like a subtle off-white shade to me. Our flange bolts are 13.5 inches from the wall, so there is about 2" of space behind the tank. Unfortunately, that's wasted space in our small bathroom. I had tried a 14" rough-in 1.6 gpf Cadet 3 (#2383.014.020), but that did not fit against the wall. I did some initial testing with the tank lid off. The tank holds close to 2 gallons of water, so not all of that water is used during a normal 1.28-gallon flush. I think the extra height of water is just there to provide extra head pressure when you flush. Here's the secret: If you feel you've presented a particular challenge to your toilet, you can hold the flush lever down for a couple seconds, and it will use ALL of the water in the tank for a flush that should handle ANY challenge. So far I haven't felt like I needed to use that option, but it's like having one of those fancy "dual-flush" toilets! |
