This review is from: American Star Cassette (Audio Cassette)
It starts as a boy that has nothing.(Nick Angelo) He is always on the move w/ his father and has nothing to show for himself except a bad rep. He moves to a small town called Bosewell and meets a girl that is way out of his league. She comes from a well-off family and has her whole life planned out. They end up falling in love and she gets pregnant. (Lauren) Nick leaves town because he is going nowhere w/ his life and wants to start one and come back for Lauren. He leaves for Chicago and finds a job as a dishwasher in a run-down strip joint. In the meantime back in Bosewell, the whole town was hit by a tornado and Lauren loses her parents. Before Nick left town, he left a note for Lauren telling her he had to leave and would be back. She never gets the note and considers Nick out of her life because she felt used by him. She has an abortion and moves to N,Y. and ends up becoming a model. They meet unexpected at a party and they still have feelings for each other. In the meantime, Nick has this sister which really isn't his sister and they are involved in a murder. It is very complex, but as it goes, NIck Angelo becomes a famous actor (Nick Angel) and Lauren becomes a famous model and the sister becomes a famous singer. Nick and Lauren end up together and it is the perfect ending. This book is very good reading. I recomend it to anybody that loves Jackie Collins.
