Early American Stencil Designs by Charlene Tarbox,
By Cynthia L. Gilbert "Cindi Luckett Gilbert" (Charlotte, NC United States) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Early American Stencil Designs (Dover Pictorial Archives) (Paperback)
Early American Stencil Designs by Charlene Tarbox is a 78 page 8 3/8 x 11" soft cover book created from the author's original designs based on Pennsylvania Dutch designs. All 195 patterns are easy to trace and make the stencils for wall borders and the like. The designs are on heavy stock paper so they will be sturdy enough to use over and over without showing much wear.
Hearts, birds, grapes, leaves, pomagranates, and more are in these wonderful pages. The designs can easily be combined with each other or modified to make exactly what the reader would want. It is all here. This is a great source of patterns for craftspeople and those do-it-yourself artists who wish to embellish walls, furniture, and other decorative desires. |
