This movie is awesome. Well made and authentic, it brings out all of the things that city kids grow up with. The film is a piece of real life and I enjoyed it very much. The camera work looks very good and the soundtrack is hot!

Im a film student/fanatic, and I first heard of this film when I saw its title listed on the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences website for films eligible for the 2010 Academy Awards. It was one of a small handful of films eligible for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay that year. Crazy, because I had never heard of it. WOW! Blown away. Truly Amazing. It reminded me of Good Will Hunting meets He Got Game. A true independent gem. I searched for the title to find out more info on the film and ended up ordering the soundtrack and Special Edition DVD from the filmmakers website. Super cool. Learned more than in my film classes from the DVD alone.

The soundtrack (all STL artists) is amazing, and the story line is strong and based on a true story.
