As a hot rodder from way back, I've been stranded along the road more than once in an old musclecar with electrical problems. You've got an electric aftermarket fuel pump, or a cooling fan, or an electric water pump that draws more current than the normal 10 or 20 amp fuses can handle... and bang! You're stranded halfway home! Sometimes chrome won't get you home, and you're gonna have to go to plan B... :)...These 40 amp babies will keep you safely on the road, as long as you upgrade your wire size to #12 or #10 when you get home... You should keep one or two in the glove box just in case!
