This American Tourister 21" Upright in Blue worked very well for my wife on our latest trip to Mexico. It stuffed into the overheads easily and even the stewardess was able to lift it.
This is a great size for carrying on a plane. Lots of room, lots of pockets for special things.

Red color helps to identify it on the baggage conveyor. Seems sturdy, ample compartments. Smooth wheels. Handle extends sufficiently high to avoid back strain. Side handles help you to lift it to put in trunk or overhead compartment. Overall good quality.

I bought this suitcase specifically because I needed a carry-on bag. The dimensions published in the description are within the limits of the carry-on allowance for the airline I was flying (British Airways) but the handles stick out awkwardly and when I got to the airport they made me check the bag. Otherwise, it's a perfectly serviceable suitcase.

This is a good sized carry on bag with really comfortable handles at a great price from Amazon. I like the plastic compartment for messy stuff and the big front pocket to keep books and sweaters handy.

Its big enough for a weekend bag and expands to pack enough for a week.It's lightweight, the red color is easy to see on the baggage carousel when checked in and it comes with a 10 year guarantee.

The above was written before I actually used the bag and I have dropped my rating from 5 to 3 stars. It has now been refused as a carry on bag in Hong Kong, London and Manila and will not fit into any of the sizing frames at these airports.

After checking the bag in only 4 times there is a lot of fraying on the binding around the front pockets and it looks like the bag will quickly deteriorate if checked in in the future.

Too bad - if this bag had been made to conform with international carry on standards it would have been a great carry on bag.

I wanted a carry on bag that would fit into the airplanes over head bin and not creat a problem when closing the door. What is nice about this bag is that it is slightly wider then most so you can take a little bit more for that island vacation.

This is a fine bag, but it's just a bit too big to work comfortably as a carry-on. It can fit, but in these overhead-bin squeezed times I would have preferred a bit more wiggle room. The major design flaw, especially considering its use as a carry-on, are the ridiculous handles that stick out. What were they thinking?

This bag is good for the price. It seems sturdy, but is light weight. I had purchased this bag to use as a carry-on for long weekend trips. Out of 4 flights I have used it on I was able to carry it on the 3 times and it fit in over head compartment just fine. On the fourth flight I was not allowed to bring it on as it did not fit in the carry-on tester at the gate (About 1" too deep even when not packed to capacity and with squishing). A good bag, but if you want a true carry-on get one a bit smaller.

I like the suitcase, and it came quickly. I felt the description of the bag was misleading, however. It gave dimensions that turned out to be for the main packing compartment only, and not for the entire bag. Thus, it turns out that it is too big for carry-on, which is what I was shopping for.

This is a great bag. It is just the right size for a carry on but holds more than you may think. The bag is well made and moves very easily. Shipping was fast and the price is a steal for a bag like this.

I purchased this as a gift and the recipient liked it very much. It has a lot of room and the retractable handle is easy to operate. The handles on the top and the side of the bag are helpful when placing it in a car trunk or in a luggage bin. Some of the compartments unzip to expand but all the zippers are confusing when trying to access an external pocket.
