Product Description
U.S. Highway 80 is the route of Middle Georgia, connecting the metropolitan areas of Savannah, Macon, and Columbus, and the rich, conflicted history in between. The highway departs from the Colonial past of the Georgia Low Country along the rails of the Central of Georgia Railroad. This tract, from Macon to Savannah, was the focus of General Sherman’s March to the Sea of the American Civil War. Beyond Macon, U.S. 80 enters the rolling hills which were once part of the Creek Indian Confederacy before landing at the Chattahoochee River at Columbus, home of the inventors of Coca Cola.
