I started collecting Phil Coulter's CDs just prior to obtaining a CD player about 12 years ago. So, my first Phil Coulter purchase was the cassette tape of Peace & Tranquility. 1 Year later I got my first CD player and I immediately went out and bought the same tape as "my first CD." I have since purchased every CD that Phil has made which I believe is about 12 or 13. And to tell you the truth, I can't pick a favorite. American Tranquility rates as one of my favorites along with Scottish Tranquility and Forgotten Dreams. Not only do I have all his CDs, my wife and I saw him twice in concert in Manchester, CT, the last time was two days before we moved to Florida. Mr Coulter is German born but, raised in Northern Ireland. Last August, my wife and I went to Ireland and that has to be the finest trip we have ever been on. We had a great tour director/driver and the bus had an incredible sound system. And as we drove through the tiny villages and along the country side, what do you think the music was that the driver was playing? It was our old friend Phil Coulter's music. Absolute heaven! If you love beautiful music, I recommend each and every Phil Coulter CD to you.

I especially enjoy music by American composers and compositions that traditionally appear in hymnals and/or are performed at school concerts, etc. If you enjoy beautiful American music/songs this CD is for you.

A dear friend introduced my wife and I to Phil Coulter by playing a tape of "American Tranquility" several years ago. We were so impressed that we immediately purchased the CD and played it repeatedly while driving pass the lush green fields in the "Great State of Iowa."

It's perfect music for "motoring" across the countryside, or as background music for work areas or classrooms.

The arrangements of these traditional favorites are original and vary from song-to-song, track-to-track.

I'm waiting, somewhat impatiently, for "American Tranquility II."

I first heard this CD while listening to the "Sounds of the Season" music channel on DirecTV, during the 4th of July holiday. Over the next few hours as I listened to the music being played in the background on this channel, I kept running to the television screen every so often when they played a song I liked. I noticed a lot of the songs were by Mr. Coulter on the CD you are considering purchasing today. It is a wonderful 4th of July type - bring back old fond memories of a simpler time CD to play! Trust me, buy it, you will be glad you did!

This is the perfect CD for the office computer, especially when things are crazy. It provides an excellent background to drown out all the little disruptive noises. It is very relaxing and peaceful Everyone asks who the CD is by.

I like this CD very much. Coulter captures this old time American music in his usual beautiful style.

I have every one of Phil Coulter's CD's, and this is one of my favorites. The song Hoedown is on another CD also, but something about this one.....I can't listen sitting down, or at least have to clap and "jig" with every available body part! When that last song finishes, I often have to just play the whole thing all over again. Great music!!

For decades I have been a Phil Coulter fan and have many of his CD's This collection of American Tranquility songs is so good! His music is so relaxing and uplifting...an enjoyable addition to my collection.

I can listen to this over and over without tiring. Selections, arrangements, performance all A+

Phil you have done it again. I just love this CD it is so beautiful. I cannot beleive how wonderful it sound. I have to keep playing over and over again
