Great Patriotic and Moving CD,
By
This review is from: American Tribute (Audio CD)
This Album was originally released in 1986. It was the United States Air Force Band's yearly Spring Tour in 1985 (November 8th) and was "free and open to the public." It has The Pledge of Allegiance (I never knew it had been set to music), An American Tribute, Holy Radiant Light, Song of Democracy, American Salute, The Lord's Prayer, Psalm 140, The Story of the Battle Hymn of the Republic, God Be With you, and Air Force Song. A special note: One of the groups singing is the The Singing Sergeants, directed by Captain Craig D. Jessop who is now the current director of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.I listened to this album over and over--you would have thought it had just been released in the wake of the September 11th attack but the Mormon Tabernacle Choir has always had patriotic songs in it's repertoire. I have purchased several "patriotic" or "tribute" CD's in the last nine months and I find this one far and away the best of all. I heartily recommnend this CD.

The CD had a defect right on the song we needed. We were disappointed, because Amazon has been very good with everything elsed. We would love to have a replacement.
