Nathan Alexander, a media liaison at the Pentagon, survives the September 11th attack but tragically losses his wife in the event. Years after the tragedy, Nathan s suspicion leads him to discover that his wife had inside information of a major conspiracy within the U.S. government. While investigating into the conspiracy, Nathan comes across a computer hacker, Daniel Lewin, who is also interested in uncovering the truth about 9/11. Together, they use their computer skills and Pentagon access to discover information the U.S. government wants to keep a secret. Eventually Nathan's cover is blown, and the two must run for their lives. Though all hope seems to be lost, their determination for the truth will not let these men give up their desire to uncover one of the greatest secrets in history.

Editorial Reviews

Review

I was surprised at the high quality of this book when I first read it. I was expecting just an ordinary novel, but this book provides a powerful look at an very important issue that is not being discussed. The 9/11 terrorists attack is the most influential event of this last half century. The controversies that loom around these attacks are shocking. The book uses a lot of well-researched facts and the fast pace action makes this a real page turner. Bottom Line: The American Truth uses a lot of creative techniques to create a great story and to address important issues. I highly recommend this book. --Craig R.

A home run for the 9/11 Truth Movement. Not only will the patriots in the Truth Movement enjoy this read, but this book has the ability to captivate a mainstream audience. The book did a great job of presenting the most credible 9/11 Truth issues. Plus, the author did a great job of researching to dig up a bunch of controversies that many do not know (even the most knowledgeable Truthers). The book also reads very fast, and you can't put it down. --Jonathan

The American Truth is a powerful book because it is written without any partisan prejudices. The author, Shelton, uses the most credible facts about the 9/11 controversies to tell an exciting story. And what I particularly enjoyed about the book is that the author does not press a particular view upon the reader, but lets the reader come to his own conclusion. The book is divided into two parts - nonfiction and fiction. Each section has its own unique style. The nonfiction part uses brief articles that makes the reader really think about what he/she knows about the 9/11 attacks. The main portion of the book is a novel that describes the hidden secrets of the 9/11 tragedies. --Kenny Green

About the Author

I grew up in a small town south of Atlanta, GA. In my high school years, I started getting more serious about my faith and my studies. It was during those years when I found a love in writing. Just after graduation from high school I published my first book, The Devotional Tales, which was a collection of inspirational short stories about the Christian faith. To anyone who is interested in reading this book, I ll gladly mail or email you a free copy. Shortly after starting college at Mercer University, I quickly became aware of many economic, environmental, and political controversies going on in America. As I researched into these issues, I discovered how 9/11 could have been an event that fueled these forms of corruption. After devouring through many of the 9/11 Truth books and films, I ve joined the 9/11 Truth Movement, and now I'm striving to make sure that America s future will not be marred by political and economic corruption. I'll be completing my undergraduate degree this year by studying at Oxford University in England. I ve always thought America was the best place on earth to be, but I decided that studying abroad in a setting like Oxford was an opportunity I shouldn t pass up. Besides writing and studying, I'm directing a website called The Body of Christ Online. The site provides an interactive atmosphere that attracts a diverse group of Christians from around the world. My goals for the website is to provide the Internet's latest technology to benefit Christians from all around the world. I also enjoy staying active and playing sports. I grew up playing baseball year around, but now I just enjoy participating in other sports playing sports like golf, tennis, or running. I recently completed my first marathon and triathlon. I pretty much enjoy any form of competition, or anything that s challenging. My future career goals include: 1) writing, 2) doing what I love doing everyday, and 3) using my creative ideas to improve businesses, Christian organizations, the society, and the world.

3.0 out of 5 stars For having the passion to put this together, August 10, 2008

Clearly, what's most compelling about this book is the author's attempt to get the information out. He invites you up front to visit the compendium on his web site, which is in more detail and more often updated than the book itself is. Think of it as a kind of Trojan horse that doesn't have a lot of bite in its belly but does call attention to things that ought to be calmly considered. It doesn't have the hysterical edge that some in the 911 Truth Movement have, so I was able to read the information presented and think "Hmmmmm...." without rejecting it out of hand. I must admit, it made me want to explore further.

I found the nonfictional parts more compelling than the fictional story that follows. I get the sense that the fictional story is maybe a first or second draft that could have been much better had more elbow grease been applied; that, or an honest, heartfelt effort in the hands of someone who has no illusions about being a "real writer." In the hands of someone who would know how to treat the material, it could have been a real thriller with a movie deal in the works. As it stands now, though, it's pretty threadbare storytelling with mistakes that will make any sensitive reader wince.

I am happy, however, to have sent a bit of money this author's way. The more people we have thinking about what's really going on in our world, the better, and it's clear the author is passionate about his subject.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best Books I've Ever Read, September 4, 2007
This review is from: The American Truth (Paperback)
This book was so good that I'm having to read it again.

I came into the book not thinking much of the "9/11 Conspiracy Theories" and "9/11 Truth." But after reading through the book, I found all the coincidences very interesting.

Once I started reading the book, it did not take me long to read it. I only took me two sittings. And I read it very quick. I read it through in about 4 hours (with an occasional interruption). It's one of those books that you can't put down, and you every chapter ends on a high note.

I recommend that every one check out this book. Whether the 9/11 Conspiracy Theories are true or not, I think everyone should know about them. And The American Truth does a great job in explaining them in a very interesting fashion.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not much here but please investigate further., April 28, 2011

This is "fiction" disguised as fact or maybe the other way around. Most of the issues presented here are not new, I certainly didn't learn anything new and I found the fictionalized parts really trivial. This is a low grade adventure story. It is presented as an "All the President's Men" kind of thing, but I found it badly written and at the least in need of better proofing. About halfway through I decided it wasn't worth my time, there are so many better books to read. If one is interested in factual evidence presented by competent engineers, architects, fire and police personnel, it can be easily found. Watch the films: 911 In Plane Site and Loose Change.

Also check out the 911truth websites, there is enough information to take you completely by surprise if you haven't gotten into this before. I was just a dumb sheep in the American flock until about 2 years ago, I now firmly believe there is ample evidence to show that something happened on 9/11 that is NOT stated by our government. There was no comprehensive investigation about what happened. Maybe the government is embarrassed by their lack of action on that fateful day, or maybe they have a guilty conscience about their participation in those events. I don't know what to believe about how much the U.S. government played with the truth, but I know from a lifetime of listening to U.S. official propaganda that the official story is bogus. This book may offer some interesting theories and it's important for each of us to THINK and not just accept what is told to us, so for that reason I'll give this 2 stars rather than 1.

I didn't learn anything new from this book and cannot recommend it, even for the small amount of factual data there is.
