It seems so retro to buy maps when so many online services let you print not only the maps specific to your trip, but turn-by-turn directions as well. This time, however, I want high-level information about the whole width of the contiguous US and only modest amounts of information about each state along the way. I get all that, plus each province of Canada, an overview of Mexico, and more detailed maps of several dozen urban areas. This reasonably-priced atlas is entirely adequate for my modest immediate needs.

This atlas is the perfect size. Although the smaller roads are not shown, we will be traveling cross country with boys (8 yrs old & 12 yrs old ) I thought this will be a great opportunity to teach them how to read a map and to follow along on the trip.
Even my husband was pleased. He is very picky about atlases. |
