From Booklist
This installment of the saga of teen virginity crusader Adam Chamberlain, whose own reason for saving it was murdered by terrorists in Head (2006), resolves the near-death experience he was in at the end of Going Down (2007) and speeds through racy soap operatics, including flashbacks to Adam’s childhood exposure to virtue-monger hypocrisy at a politician uncle’s nude pool parties. Becky Cloonan’s sharp, energetic drawing, stripped down from the adventurous black-and-white Demo (2005), doesn’t work as well with color added (the best scene here occurs in a lights-out orgy room), and the entertainment value of repeatedly flouting Adam’s chastity is waning. American Virgin’s in need of revival. --Ray Olson
