5.0 out of 5 stars Great reference, April 28, 2000
This review is from: American Warplanes (Hardcover)
I couldn't begin to count the number of times we've used this book to find information on a particular aircraft. And, I can't remember ever being disappointed. The book is packed with information on American military aircraft. At a minimum, each entry includes at least one picture, sketches of several silhouette views, information on the aircraft's dimensions, weight, available armament configurations and the aircraft's history, including dates of service. I can't imagine a better reference book.

This review is from: American Warplanes: A Full-Color Technical Directory of 200 of the Most Important Combat Aircraft to Serve the United States (Hardcover)
This is a great book for people interested in military aviation. It is full of technical and colored illustrations of all types of aircraft from World War I until today. It's a great read.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very good book on american warplanes, March 23, 2001

This review is from: American Warplanes (Hardcover)
This book includes inof on every american warplane from the wright military flyer to the Harrier jump-jet. Also includes at least one photo of every warplane (The book says most of them were not published before) plus diagrams on all the aircraft, weapons, engines, speeds, weights, types, and history (First fligths, retirements, e.t.c). A very good book for the study of warplanes. My only problem is there's no F-117, F-22, or B-2 in this book. Then again, this book was published before those aircraft were declassified. Looks like a job for: A Reprint!
