These minty green tiles look pretty enough to eat, and are a nice colorful twist on the standard white tiles that come with most mahjong sets. The flowers, jokers and dragons have a special eye catching golden paint detail. This makes a wonderful set for any mahjong player whose favorite color is green! This set has 166 tiles, including all the 144 tiles for classical Chinese play as well as an extra 22 tiles for the American version of the game. With this set you can comfortably play either version. To play the Chinese version simply use the red dragons for the 'hong zhong' and the green dragons for the 'fa' tiles. you do not need to buy pusher arms with this set as the wooden racks provide a ruler-like pusher that doubles as a cover for your betting sticks.
the star rating given to this game was catagorized as a toy. definitely not a toy! steep learning curve, but hours of fun with your buddies. my son came home from college last weekend and after one night of play with occasional instruction from mom has been carrying the game to a different friend's house every night. i may need to buy another set.American Western Mahjong Set ''Irish Green''
