This is an essay, bordering on poetry, on the joys of bird hunting. It is not an informational or instructional book. This is one for the coffey table. The photographs are color and beautiful. The photos and writing can truly be appreciated by one who loves bird hunting, shotguns and dogs. The book jacket is beautiful. As in flyfishing, this book has a classy presentation!

Williams certainly has an eye for capturing the beautiful places upland bird hunting will take you, and the wonderful dogs (especially Brittanys!) and unique birds that are the quarry. The accompanying text is somewhat lightweight, but this book really shines through its photography.
