This stuff looks good once it is installed, but it is not water resistant, hard to snap together and hard to clean.
There are many spots on the floor where liquid, either from spilled containers or from pet accidents, laid on the floor for several hours, which caused the edges of the planks to de-laminate and curl up. Shaw specifically states on their packaging that you should not let liquid dry on the flooring, and here's why; the sides of the planks are not laminated. The top is, and if you let liquid dry on the top of the planks, no harm is done. But if that liquid seeps between the planks and is not cleaned up shortly afterwards, your smooth, flat floor will be as choppy as the ocean on a breezy day.
The packaging also reads that the flooring is easy to install. That is pure fiction at best. It is much more difficult to install than the Shaw would have you think.
Dust is fairly easy to clean up from the floor, but spots and other dirt are very hard to get up. The only cleaner that does not leave streaks on this floor is water, and don't let it dry on the floor!
I had this stuff installed in the entire upstairs of my home, and after 4 years I ripped every plank of it out and replaced it with Pergo brand flooring. Shaw is not alone in making an inferior product. Any other similarly priced laminate flooring will have the same issues. The Pergo flooring is truly easy to install, water resistant and easy to clean. Spend a little more and get a quality product and avoid this stuff.
