Take a baritone train ride, celebrating some of the great music from our past. Rob's amazing voice (reminiscent of Ernie Ford)booms out across the tracks of this CD, much like the great train whistles he sings about. Timeless songs, catchy new arrangements, and Rob's voice, equal a foot tapping, sing along, fun for all CD. Have your tickets ready...all aboard!

I have had the pleasure of knowing, and playing music with (Special Edition) Rob Oxford since the mid 1970's. "Americana" is his latest incarnation in a long and varied career. This CD showcases Rob's incredible Baritone, booming out acoss all the tracks, much like the trains he sings about. Not since the heyday of Tenn. Ernie Ford, has our musical pastime, been so richly regaled...new snappy arrangements, an upbeat tempo, and style...and that voice! In this modern society, where the most awful musical pablum suffices for Rock & Roll, it's nice to go back to a simpler time, when music was just that. Celebrate our country's great musical past with Rob...you'll be humming!

I have been proud to know, and play music with (Special Edition) with Rob Oxford since the mid 1970's. Americana is a new venture, in Rob's ongoing career, in this CD his deep baritone register simply booms out across all the tracks. Not since the heyday of Tenn. Ernie Ford has such a voice sung this type of music, and it is way past time! Maybe we all woke up on Sept. 11th, this CD celebrates some of the best known/loved "folk songs" of our past...it reminds us of what America, and Americana is really all about, and in this day of...[music that] passes for Rock & Roll, let's go back to a simpler time, when music was actually music! This CD features new arrangements , and will make the listener want to sing along...and isn't that what music is really all about? Way to go Rob!! G.A. Coll Holy Grail Publishing BMI
