Gordon Sinclair hit the nail right on the head. The USA races to the aid of those counties that are hit by a disaster, and get ripped in the press for our troubles. We don't do it to be popular, we do it because it is the right thing to do.

As true today as it was 36 years ago!, January 30, 2010

This was originally recorded 36 years ago and it actually had 2 different renditions on the chart (in '74) at the same time. You could release this today and it would be just as relevant. When will American's tell other countries that we will help when and where we can, but we'll be DAMNED if we'll listen to your preaching! Especially when not a SINGLE country provided a bit of help for Katrina or 9/11. France accuses us of trying to occupy Haiti? If they are so concerned, where the heck are they? We have 10K soldiers and equipment there. They have NONE! I'm sick of the world playing the "America is the reason for the ills of the world" game. Call their bluff. Pull the troops out of Europe and stop playing games with money to the Taliban in the Mid-East. Watch how quick they change their tune!
