4.0 out of 5 stars wasnt expecting much but wow! June 1, 2008
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
ok first let me start off by saying that I am actually a soldier so I had mixed feelings going into this game. If you have played the one for PC you would know why.
I will say this though, i am pleasantly suprised. The game has great graphics and it is not like a lot of those other shooters out there where they just run and gun. You have a squad you have teammates-use them and dont let them get hurt. I found myself havig a couple of hours turn into a day of training and wargames. which are not easy. You dont just shoot. You breathe you aim all the things that regular shooters dont usually take into consideration.
there are a couple of quirks but then again I know why they were put in there. I.E. Look at your soldiers uniforms. Thats all i will say.
controls are good not perfect but they are damn good. once in a while you may miss what you thought was dead on but thats because you( the soldier) breathed when you fired or you moved. such a little thing will throw your aim off by a lot.
If you looking for a run and gun shooter... this aint it. THis one takes patience which a lot of people do not have.

5.0 out of 5 stars A GREAT TEAM BASED GAME January 8, 2008
By Tiffany
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
If you're looking for a great game that rewards you for working as a team, this is it. In order to be promoted you must earn Honor (not most kills in a game). To earn Honor you need to work as a team and medic injured teammates or drag them out of the line of fire. To get the maximum Honor you need to complete all primary and secondary objectives with all team members surviving while keeping your entire squad near its leader. A great change from all those run-gun-respawn games that are out there. The training is pretty easy but the Wargames give a bit more challenge. These two modes are where you can earn skill points to improve your soldier in several different categories. The on-line is where the game is the strongest with many CO-OP modes as well as a campaign, solo, and competitive training games, with a ton of options for each.

4.0 out of 5 stars Tough Game January 1, 2008
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
Tough game. Don't expect to go for broke straight out of the box. To get to the meat of the game you really have to develop your Soldier on the ranges and in training missions. If you want auto-aiming and the ability to save your game just before the going gets tough, then COD4, Ghost Recon and such games are for you. If you want your training and fitness level to affect your ability to aim and the challenge of not being able to save your place in combat, then give this one a go.

5.0 out of 5 stars graphics vs physics. April 22, 2011

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
People seem to complain and say, "you run to slow", or "you don't turn fast enough". If anything you turn to fast compared to real life, and you do get tired in real life. Your job is teamwork on the game, without it you will not succeed. Missions are long, timed, the objective is not to rush but to bring everyone back safe.

Compared to a real M-4 or M249, it is almost close. Though a little to accurate for me. Everything is already focused when aiming, theres no delay. Reload time is faster and so on but its not real life.

All in all a fun game if thinking of Joining Army, it gives you something to pass the time and learn a little.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun on Xbox Live April 8, 2008
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
There are allot of reviews on the net for this game, so I am just adding my 2 cents I guess, but I will give the + and the -.

On the + side...
This game is %98 on line, and is never the same game twice. Its hard to get board when you have new people to play with every time you load the game.

Game requires thinking. You can't just "Spray and Pray" like other shooters. You must work with your team to win a game. That is not the norm in a shooter. Planning and using real tactics to get your goals done are key. (Many people are not able to do this and that is why they don't like the game.)

Graphics are good, and sound is fine.

Game uses the head set on your xbox, and it really is required for a proper game.

Its as close to a real fire team as you can get without being really shot at.

- Parts of the game...

Servers are other players xbox's. That means that is your playing with someone with a slow DSL line, your going to have lag, and get bumped of line.

Game has glitches, but they are not something that makes the game unplayable.

Hope this helps with your choice, but I recommend this game if you want a thinking action game.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Honorable Game April 17, 2010
Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
I purchased this game as a substitute for modern warfare, (read first before calling me a complete idiot) It, sadly did not compare :( (keep waiting CoD fans) However their were things in this game that made it very memorable. Such as: the menu's theme song is VERY patriotic :). And for those interested in joining the Army, this game is literally meant for you, it has about two dozen videos about the benefits of the armed forces and some commercials and real life documentaries. Also in the extras menu were a complete list of occupations supported by the Army. THE GAME: The in-game graphics reminded me of GRAW 2, and their is a cool feature when assisting a downed soldier, they give you the option to drag the player to a safe area before becoming "THE MEDIC", there is GREAT multiplayer, but the Campaign is all simulated training, even the missions are friendly skirmishes with your platoon. The fact that it was made by the US ARMY was pretty cool. And overall was enjoyable for a period of time.

It is hard to control the person you are moving and the graphics are horrible. The wars are all paint ball instead of real.
