Boardwalks Rule, October 6, 2010
This review is from: America's Boardwalks: From Coney Island to California (Hardcover)
I love the stories and people in this book and the forgotten histories about these great American boardwalks. Anyone who grew up going to the shore on summer afternoons will find something they remember and identify with in this book. The real "boardwalk empire" is a place in our memories that will never die.

Well written book that brings back great Boardwalk memories!, July 31, 2006
This review is from: America's Boardwalks: From Coney Island to California (Hardcover)
America's Boardwalks is a stylish book that took me back to my childhood vacations on the Jersey Shore. In reading the chapters on Wildwood and Atlantic City, I could almost smell the salt sea air mingled with boardwalk food smells. Remenber Salt water taffy? Diving horses? Various "wild" men and women? Carnies with all sorts of games?
Anyone who has "walked the boards" is sure to take a similar trip down memory lane. It's a great read!
