A Grand Disappointment,
This review is from: America's Castles - Movie Palaces (DVD)
As interesting as this DVD-R is with excellent commentary it only coverered 3 major American Movie Theaters - the title "Movie Palaces" is a trifle mis-leading! no mention of the Radio City Music Hall! no coverage of Samuel L."Roxy" Rothapfel and sadly very little on Paramount's venture into this field.
Viewers to this review might be interested in a DVD entitled "The Fabulous Fox" which also covers extended detail on the Theatre and its splendid Moller organ. However in view of scarce footage of the subject in question, this DVD is to be welcomed and recommended. (Ronald Alexander-Mace - Norbury : London) |
