This review is from: Americas Collectible Cookbooks: The History, The Politics, The Recipes (Paperback)
Anyone who is interested in the history and politics of cooking or the contributions of women to culinary history will find this contains valuable background about American cookbooks and their authors. Having written a book about collectible cookbooks, I appreciate the depth of research that had to go into this book. Most collectors will find the information expands their knowledge and appreciation of American cookbooks and history.

If you are a cookbook collector, this book is useless. There is
no information about collecting cookbooks. Mostly recipes, with over 3000 cookbooks, I do not need more recipes. Sorry I purchased it. |
